Broken Prince by Erin Watt - Review

Broken Prince (The Royals, #2)
Goodreads   Amazon   Twitter    Website
These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy..

AMAZING.

If I did one word reviews, that would be the word that I'd use for this awesome books.

Broken Prince picked up about a minute before Paper Princess ended and therefore thankfully addressed the cliffhanger immediately. I would say the result is mildly satisfying but it still allows for the same icky feelings brought about by the previous cliffhanger.

I thought this story moved forward pretty well however I feel like Easton's story wasn't really expanded on that much and I don't know if that's due to plans for the next book or choosing to mainly progress Ella and Reed's story/stories

Callum Royal is honestly such a good parent in theory and my main wish for this entire series is two fold: a) I hope Callum isn't lying about being faithful to his wife b) that his children realise how much he loves them and realise that he was hurt and needs their help. I think the authors revealing the things that Callum knows about his children and chooses to ignore was a wonderful literary decision that really added dimension to his character.

Also, me reading the cliffhanger: HAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHA, oh okay the book ends here? Interesting.

Paper Princess made my mid year top 10 book list and I'm so glad that Broken Prince absolutely did not disappoint!

Rating: 4.5 stars
